We emphasize the use of modern scientific methods to interpret TCM theories, advocate for evidence-based evaluation of clinical efficacy, respect the uniqueness of the traditional TCM knowledge system, and actively promote interdisciplinary research integrating TCM with various scientific fields.
2. Journal Introduction
Research and Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a specialized academic journal focusing on the integration of TCM theoretical research, clinical practice, and modern scientific methodologies. The journal highlights innovation in TCM basic theories, analysis of herbal formula mechanisms, systematic evaluation of clinical efficacy, and promotion of appropriate characteristic technologies. It is committed to publishing original research with high academic value and significant application prospects. The journal primarily serves researchers, clinicians, educators, and industry R&D personnel in the field of TCM, aiming to advance the modernization, standardization, and internationalization of TCM.
3. Scope of Submission
The journal invites original research articles, reviews, and methodological discussions in the following areas:
TCM Theory and Literature Research: Modern interpretation of classical theories, digitization and intelligent mining of ancient texts, inheritance and development of academic schools, biological basis of syndrome research.
Chinese Materia Medica Research and Development: Identification of medicinal material origins and sustainable resource utilization, modernization and mechanistic explanation of processing techniques, construction of quality standard systems, analysis of pharmacodynamic material basis and action networks.
Clinical Research and Evaluation: Standardization of syndrome differentiation and treatment, evidence-based efficacy evaluation of TCM-advantaged diseases, inheritance and data-driven research on renowned veteran TCM practitioners' experience, innovative integrated Chinese-Western medical treatment protocols.
Acupuncture and Tuina Research: Substantive basis of meridians and mechanism of effects, parameterization of acupuncture techniques and biological effects, standardization of tuina manipulation and efficacy evaluation, optimization of clinical pathways for suitable conditions.
Internationalization of TCM: Research on international standards and technical specifications, generation of high-quality evidence-based medical evidence, exploration of overseas clinical application models, paths for cross-cultural communication and acceptance.

4. Submission Guidelines
Manuscript Requirements: Submissions must be original, unpublished research. Theoretical studies should be logically rigorous and insightful; experimental studies require scientific design and reliable data; clinical studies must comply with ethical norms and reflect TCM characteristics. The journal employs a strict double-blind peer review system.
Submission Language: Manuscripts must be written in Chinese.

Terminology Standards: TCM nomenclature should follow the Chinese National Standard Traditional Chinese Medicine Nomenclature and relevant industry guidelines.
