Abstract: Acne is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the hair follicle and sebaceous glands, closely related to impaired skin barrier function and microecological imbalance. Currently, clinical treatments commonly include medications such as retinoids and antibiotics, which can cause skin dryness, irritation, and possibly drug resistance. The long-term effects of these medications on the skin barrier and microbiota require further investigation. In this study, to clarify the combined therapy of fire needle therapy and salicylic acid on the recovery of skin lesions, regulation of skin barrier function, and improvement of skin microecology in patients with acne, eligible acne patients were selected and randomly divided into a combined treatment group and a control group. The two groups received fire needle therapy combined with salicylic acid treatment and conventional drug therapy, respectively. Subsequently, the severity of skin lesions before and after treatment was compared between the two groups. Barrier function-related indicators such as transepidermal water loss rate, stratum corneum moisture content, and skin surface lipids were measured. High-throughput sequencing technology was used to analyze the diversity of skin surface microbiota and the relative abundance changes of key bacterial genera.
